Planning settings can be managed by clicking on 'Planning' in the Master data section.

It opens a page with two grid, one containing default activities and one containing default milestones.


Default activities can be managed in the first grid. You can add default activities by entering the following fields in the first row of the grid: 

  1. Name: Name of the activity
  2. Duration: Length of your activity  
  3. Period: Select a period, such as days, months, quarters or years.


By clicking on the orange check icon, it will be added to the grid. You can edit default activities by double clicking on the default activity. Now you can edit all fields of the default activity. Save your changes by clicking on orange check icon. 

The order of the default activities shown in grid will also be the order of activities shown in the modal for creating a planning. 

You can change the order by moving default activities up or down in the grid. You can do this by clicking on the checkbox in front of the default activity you want to move. An action bar will pop-up at the bottom of the screen. In the action bar you can select 'Move up' or 'Move down' to rearrange the order of your default activities. 

Besides moving default activities, you can also duplicate or delete activities through the same action bar.


There is always 1 'base activity' available in the grid, indicated by the information icon behind the activity name. This base activity is used to set the default milestone and used in the application when creating a planning for the first time. Therefore, this activity can never be deleted from the grid.


Default milestones can be managed in the second grid. You can add default milestones by entering the following fields in the first row of the grid:

  1. Name: Name of the milestone
  2. Offset: Determine the offset compared to the base activity
  3. Period: Select a period, such as days, months, quarters or years 
  4. Offset type: Determine if you want to offset the milestone before or after the offset date
  5. Offset date: Select the desired offset date. You can pick from the start of the base activity or the end of the base activity.

By clicking on the orange check icon, it will be added to the grid. 
You can edit default milestones by double clicking on the default milestone. Now you can edit all fields of the default milestone. Save your changes by clicking on orange check icon.  

You can also duplicate or delete default milestones down. You can do this by clicking on the checkbox in front of the default milestone you want to move. An action bar will pop-up at the bottom of the screen. In the action bar you can select 'Duplicate' or 'Delete' to manage your default milestone.


Planning defaults are used on the following places in the application:

  • Whenever a user creates a an initial planning, the default activities will be shown in a modal.
    • If user creates a planning based on defaults, the user only needs to enter the start - and end date of the base activity.
  • When a planning is created, the default milestones will be automatically set thorugh the offset based on the base activity. 
  • Default activities and - milestones are also avaible on the following Settings screen:
    • Cashflow 
    • Indexed costs & revenues.
